Charades

Charades is one of the oldest games in the world. You can put in a bunch of ideas into a bowl and set up teams. One team member draws a piece of paper and has to act out what is on the paper for their team members. Their team members have a certain period of time (usually a minute) to come up with the answer. If they do answer, they get a point. Then the next team has to go. Just about everyone has played charades at one time or another. It needs no supplies and is the perfect party game. Spin the baby bottle

This is a take off of the old kissing game. Use a baby bottle and spin it around the table. The person who it lands on gets a prize that is wrapped up. The prizes can be all cheap prizes that you get at the dollar store with one good prize. Then the bottle is spun again and the next person gets to either pick a new prize or take a prize from someone else. The person who gets their prize taken gets to pick one from the bag. The game goes on until all the prizes are gone.

Anagrams

You can use this as a game to play while you are waiting for food or for the soon to be mom to open up her gifts. Taking the letters in name for the mom to be, come up with as many different variations as possible. Anagrams, like charades, is a timeless game that can be played and enjoyed by all at the party and makes for one of the most successful baby shower games.

When playing baby shower games, have several of them in mind to entertain your guests. If your guests tend to like one game even more than the others and spend more time on the game, then just go with the flow. It is important to be flexible when you are hosting any sort of party or playing baby shower games.
